Just Some Facts
- Sylvari heal at the same rate as humans. Scars will often be more barklike in texture or look like tendrils.
- Sylvari are capable of growing back limbs, however this does take some time.
- They are also capable of growing clothing from their own bodies, as it's much in the same way as growing a new limb. This doesn't take as long as growing back a limb but it is rather draining.
- Like most other living creatures they breath oxygen.
- Sylvari are omnivorous and need water just like humans do. They do not photosynthesize although the sun does invigorate them.
- The cold makes most, but not all, sylvari sluggish.
- They sleep just as humans do, however most sylvari are connected the Dream. The Dream of Dreams is a collection of all sylvari consciousness, all their memories are experiences reside there. Injures in the Dream can manifest as mental ailments. However Soundless are no longer connected to the Dream.
- They can get drunk, although given their differing biology from humans it can be assumed they get drunk faster.
- While they can't sexually reproduce, sylvari do have functioning genitalia.
- They don't have nipples!
- Sylvari organs differ from those of humans in that they do not have a pulse or heartbeat, therefore it can be assumed they don't have an actual heart but rather something that functions similarly. Because of this they don't produce much body heat.
- They don't have the same kind of digestive system as a human but they do have something very similar (only it probably doesn't have the miles of tubage).
- Their blood is a sticky sap that is gold and glittering with life.
- Because they are basically plants the same diseases that affect animals don't affect them, however plant diseases could affect them.
- Because of this they are unaffected by undeath (and any Elder Dragon corruption).
- They have bioluminescent markings that vary from sylvari to sylvari. The colours of said markings vary as greatly as their skin and eye colour.
- Despite being plants they do not have anymore of a weakness against fire than a human. However, fear of fire depends entirely on the sylvari.
- They have a humanoid shape because it's believed that the Pale Tree was planted on the ruins of Ronan's village. Thus it's believed the Pale Tree used the bodies of the dead as a template for the sylvari.
- They make great farmers due to their empathic connection with plants. They have control over the growth of plants but can't push the plants past their natural limit. They can make them grow faster and healthier or shape them a certain way but they can't do anything other than that.
